Privacy Policy

Overview

Desk Legends does not use your information for advertising or to track you across other companies' apps or websites, sell personal information, or use advertising identifiers. We do not include third-party advertising or behavioral analytics.

Information stored on your Mac

The app stores settings and progress needed to provide its features, including selected heroes, appearance preferences, purchase entitlement state, and temporary service information needed to provide daily free access. This information remains on your Mac except when daily free access or purchase features need to communicate with Apple or the Desk Legends service.

Daily free allowance

Free users receive a daily usage allowance. To provide this without a separate Desk Legends account, the app sends either an Apple-provided identifier associated with the app installation or, when that is unavailable, a random identifier generated by the app and stored securely on your Mac.

The allowance service converts the source identifier into a pseudonymous identifier before storage and does not retain the source identifier. It stores the pseudonymous identifier and limited daily usage records needed to calculate remaining free time. We use this information only to provide and protect the daily free allowance, not for advertising, behavioral analytics, or tracking. Pro entitlement checks remain handled by Apple.

Service providers

We use service providers only to operate Desk Legends and the daily allowance feature. They may process this limited information only on our behalf and must protect it consistently with this policy. We do not sell this information or share it for advertising or tracking.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through the Mac App Store. The app receives product, transaction, and entitlement information required to provide purchased unlimited-time access. We do not receive your payment card details.

Diagnostics and support

Apple may provide aggregated diagnostics or crash information according to your App Store and device settings. If you contact support, we use the information you choose to send only to investigate and respond to your request.

Data retention and control

Local settings and temporary service information remain on your Mac until you change them or remove the app's associated local data. The allowance service retains pseudonymous daily usage records for up to 30 days, then deletes them automatically. Desk Legends does not require a separate user account.

If you contact support, we retain support correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support records, and meet applicable legal obligations. To ask a privacy question or request access to or deletion of allowance data before automatic deletion, email support@desklegends.com. Because allowance records are pseudonymous and are not linked to your email address, we may need additional information to identify the relevant record.

Children

Desk Legends is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not provide social features, public profiles, or direct messaging.
